Brethren,
The lodge was opened for the October stated meeting in the EA degree in
order to welcome our newest brethren and to include them as a part of our
meeting. Business was then conducted during the meeting as usual. I want to
thank all the brethren who attended last month’s stated meeting.
At our November stated meeting we will honor our past masters for their hard
work and dedication to the craft. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. and an
open ceremony will be conducted at 7:00. Please join me in showing our
appreciation to our past masters and to their wives who also supported them
during their year in the East.
By the time this message is in print, we will have launched another EA on
his journey. Congratulations to you on your introduction into Masonry. May
your achievements shine as brightly as those of your brother who enjoyed the
“warmth of the East” while conferring the EA degree. Thanks are also
extended to Brother Richard Parker who delivered the lecture and
charge, an outstanding performance!
The lodge hosted its second monthly fish dinner on October 10th. The turnout
was good and all had a great time. Our next fish fry will be on Friday,
November 14th. This month our fish fry won’t be competing with a hurricane
or a fair, but it will be a prelude to the festivities later in the month.
The cost is $7.50 and is all you can eat. Come eat with us, bring a guest
with you, and support your Lodge.
November starts us into the “Holiday Season” and a very busy time of year.
This is a time of joy and happiness for many people, but it can also be a
very ‘low’ time for others. In the coming months let us remember those less
fortunate and help those in need of assistance. At least give a smile to
someone, it’s a gift that costs you nothing and yet it is priceless to the
one who receives it.
Again, I ask for input from our Masonic widows & infirmed brothers.
Please contact the lodge or me and let us know if you are in need of help
with minor home repairs or household tasks. These services will be free of
charge or at most, a very minimal charge, depending on the complexity,
expense, and time requirements of the undertaking.
And if ANY brother would like to attend the lodge, meeting or practice and
needs help or transportation to and/or from the lodge, please call myself or
any officer and someone will cheerfully provide such assistance as
necessary.
We want you at lodge.
Kenneth Young
Worshipful Master
